Take It Down Act Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

DCZ Media Holdings LLC (“DCZ”) removes non-consensual intimate imagery. This page explains how an identifiable person, or someone authorised to act for them, can ask us to remove it, in line with the TAKE IT DOWN Act (Public Law 119-12) and related laws. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

Fastest route: use Reporton the image, video, message or profile and choose “Intimate image shared without consent”. Or email compliance@desicouplesz.app with the subject line Take It Down Request.

1. What this covers

A “non-consensual intimate visual depiction” means an intimate visual depiction of an identifiable person published without that person's consent, and includes digital forgeries (including AI-generated or altered images and video) that appear to depict an identifiable person in an intimate way. Consent to create or to privately share an image is not consent to publish or to share it further.

2. How to submit a valid request

A request must be in writing (an in-app report or an email) and contain all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is sufficient) of the identifiable individual depicted, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf, stating the capacity in which they act.
  2. Identification of the content, with enough detail for us to find it: the profile username, the link, or the date and place it appeared.
  3. A brief statement of your good-faith belief that the depiction is intimate, was published without consent, and, where it is a forgery, that it depicts you or the person you act for.
  4. Contact information so we can reply: an email address at minimum.

Incomplete requests may be delayed while we ask for what is missing. The statutory time limit below runs from receipt of a request that contains these items.

3. What we do

  • Prompt removal. On receiving a valid request, we will remove the depiction promptly, and within the period the law requires, and make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies on the Platform.
  • Account action. We may restrict or end the account of the member who posted or shared the content, and we may prevent re-upload of the same content.
  • Records and referrals. We may preserve records and report to authorities as the law permits or requires. Publishing intimate imagery without consent can be a crime.
  • Confirming. We will tell the requester when action has been taken. We do not disclose another member's identity to a requester except as the law requires.

4. If someone threatens to share an image

Do not pay and do not send more images. Keep the messages, report the member and block them, and consider reporting to the police. Our Online Safety Guide lists reporting routes by country and free services that help stop images spreading across other platforms. DCZ can act only on content on DCZ.

5. False or abusive requests

A request is a legal statement. Submitting one you know to be false, or in bad faith to remove lawful content or to harass another member, may lead to the loss of your account and to liability to DCZ and to anyone harmed, including for the costs and losses described in the indemnity below. We may reinstate content removed because of a mistaken or abusive request.

6. Counter-notices

Where we remove content in response to a request, the member who posted it may write to compliance@desicouplesz.app stating why they believe the removal was a mistake. DCZ has no obligation to restore content. Because restoring a depiction can cause serious harm, we will not restore it while any objection is unresolved, and we may decline in our sole discretion.

7. Good-faith removal

Under 47 U.S.C. § 230(c)(2) and the TAKE IT DOWN Act, DCZ is not liable for good-faith disabling of access to, or removal of, material claimed to be a non-consensual intimate visual depiction, even if it later turns out the material was lawful. No member may bring a claim against the DCZ Parties for such removal.

Legal Terms Applying to this Take It Down Act Policy

Relationship to the Terms of Service

This Take It Down Act Policy is part of, and incorporated by reference into, the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms not defined here, including “DCZ Parties”, have the meaning given in the Terms of Service. If this Take It Down Act Policy and the Terms of Service conflict, the Terms of Service control, except that where a statute requires a specific process for a specific kind of notice, that statutory process governs that notice. Operator of the Platform: DCZ Media Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.

No duty, no warranty

DCZ is an interactive computer service that hosts content created and shared by its members. To the fullest extent permitted by law, including 47 U.S.C. § 230 and equivalent intermediary-liability protections in other jurisdictions, DCZ is not the publisher or speaker of member content and does not adopt it. Nothing in this Take It Down Act Policy creates a duty of care, a duty to monitor, a duty to remove, or a duty to act on any particular timetable towards any member, any person depicted in content, any reporter or any other third party, beyond the duties that a statute imposes on DCZ and that cannot be excluded. Descriptions of what DCZ does, tries to do or aims to do describe good-faith practices that may change at any time; they are not guarantees, warranties or promises of any result, and no person is entitled to rely on them as such. Our systems and our team can and will make mistakes, miss content and act late.

Good-faith action is protected

DCZ may, in its sole discretion and without notice, remove or restrict any content, decline to remove any content, limit, suspend or end any account, preserve and disclose records to the extent the law allows or requires, and report matters to authorities. Action taken, or not taken, in good faith is protected to the fullest extent of 47 U.S.C. § 230(c) and every other protection the law provides, and no member acquires any claim against the DCZ Parties because of it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the DCZ Parties are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, reputational harm or emotional distress, arising from or related to this Take It Down Act Policy, any report or request made under it, any action or inaction by DCZ under it, or any content or conduct of any member or other third party. The aggregate liability limits, the sole-remedy clause and the exclusions in § 12 of the Terms of Service apply in full to every claim concerning this Take It Down Act Policy.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the DCZ Parties from and against every claim, demand, investigation, proceeding, loss, liability, damage, penalty, fine, cost and expense (including reasonable legal fees, expert fees and the cost of responding to a regulator, court order or law-enforcement request) arising out of or connected with: (a) content you post, send or upload; (b) your conduct on or off the Platform; (c) any report, notice, request or counter-notice you submit, including any that is inaccurate, misleading, malicious, made in bad faith or made without the authority you claim; (d) your breach of this Take It Down Act Policy, the Terms of Service or any law; and (e) any claim by a person depicted in, or affected by, your content or conduct. This indemnity applies even where the claim alleges that a DCZ Party was negligent, to the fullest extent the law allows, but not to the extent a court of competent jurisdiction finally determines the loss was caused by that DCZ Party's own fraud or wilful misconduct. DCZ controls the defence and settlement of any claim it chooses to defend, and you will cooperate. This obligation survives the end of your account. If you are a consumer, it applies only to the extent the law of your country permits.

Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the DCZ Parties from all claims, known or unknown, arising from the content, conduct or communications of other members and third parties, and from DCZ's good-faith decisions under this Take It Down Act Policy. If you are a California resident you waive California Civil Code § 1542 and any equivalent law of another jurisdiction, to the extent the waiver is permitted.

Disputes

The governing law, the individual-arbitration and class-action waiver and the venue provisions in § 16 of the Terms of Service apply to every dispute concerning this Take It Down Act Policy. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arises, or it is permanently barred, to the extent the law permits a shorter period.

General

This Take It Down Act Policyconfers no rights on any third party, and no person is a third-party beneficiary of it. If any part is held unenforceable, that part is limited to the minimum extent needed and the rest remains in force. DCZ's failure to enforce any part is not a waiver. DCZ may update this Take It Down Act Policy at any time by posting the revised version with a new date; continued use after the date means you accept it. This page explains our practices in general terms and is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing here limits any right you have under a law that cannot be waived.
