Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how DesiCouplesZ (“DCZ”), operated by DCZ Media Holdings LLC, uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

The short version: we only use cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep the site secure. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you across other websites, and we never sell your data.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. They let a site recognise your browser between requests — which is what makes it possible to stay signed in as you move from page to page.

2. Cookies we set

CookiePurposeCategoryExpires
dcz_accessKeeps you signed in. Contains a short-lived session token. HTTP-only, so it cannot be read by JavaScript.Strictly necessary2 hours
dcz_refreshRenews your session so you are not signed out constantly. Only sent to the authentication endpoint.Strictly necessaryUp to 90 days ("Remember me")
__cf_bm / cf_clearanceSet by Cloudflare to tell humans from bots and to protect the login and signup forms from automated abuse.Strictly necessary (third party — Cloudflare)30 minutes to 1 year

3. What we do not use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies
  • No third-party tracking pixels (no Meta pixel, no ad-network tags)
  • No cross-site profiling, and no sale or sharing of your data with data brokers
  • No cookies that record your browsing on other websites

Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for, we do not show a consent banner for non-essential cookies — there aren't any. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first.

4. Local storage and similar technologies

We use your browser's local storage for small interface preferences (for example remembering a chosen tab or a dismissed prompt). This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

5. Location permissions are not cookies

Precise (GPS) location is requested through your browser's permission prompt, not through cookies, and is always optional. See Section 9 of our Terms for how location data is collected and used.

6. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Be aware that blocking the cookies listed above will stop you being able to sign in — the site cannot keep you authenticated without them.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our use of cookies changes, and revise the “last updated” date above.
