Delhi NCR is the second largest lifestyle community in India after Mumbai, and the largest Hindi-speaking one. It is also the most spread out — three effectively separate cities that members treat as one.
Three cities, one community
South Delhi — Greater Kailash, Saket, Vasant Kunj — skews older, more established and more private.
Gurugram holds the largest younger concentration, drawn from the corporate corridor, and is the most active and easiest part of the community to enter.
Noida and Greater Noida hold a growing community, generally younger families.
Members treat the NCR as one community, but the distances are real and meeting arrangements are shaped by them more than newcomers expect.
How it behaves
Faster than Chennai, slower than the diaspora. Weeks of conversation is the norm.
Private gatherings rather than venues. There is no club circuit in Delhi, and offers of one are a reliable scam indicator.
Verification matters. Delhi's size attracts more fake profiles and more extortion attempts than smaller cities, and the community is correspondingly wary of new unverified accounts.
A mixed community
Delhi NCR draws from across north India, so alongside Hindi speakers there are substantial Punjabi, Bengali and Nepali communities, and members frequently connect across them.
It is also the main Indian point of contact for members in Kathmandu, and for the north Indian diaspora in Canada and the Gulf.
Common questions
Are there venues or clubs in Delhi?
No. The community is private and gathering-based. Anything advertising a club, or charging for introductions, is a scam.
Which part of NCR is most active?
Gurugram, particularly among younger couples working in the corporate corridor.
